TollPlus will be responsible for providing project planning, design and testing, transition, data migration and installation of the new back office toll collection system, as well as post-implementation services and maintenance. The new back office system will allow NTTA to meet current demands, handle projected transaction growth over the next 10 years, and help the agency meet the increasing mobility demands of the region. With a responsive and resilient new back office toll collection and processing system, the agency will be able to handle over six million transactions per day, roughly twice the volume handled today. This tool can help a customer determine in advance how much a trip would cost, depending on the starting and end points of the trip, the payment type and number of axles on the vehicle used. "Eventually a customer who refuses to pay a ZipCash invoice receives a criminal citation and is required to appear in court."Īs of June, courts have given NTTA the OK to pursue collection through lawsuits. "Failure to pay a ZipCash bill results in additional fees to counter the cost of collection," the release states. ![]() Through a sophisticated camera recording system, ZipCash photographs the license plates of tollway drivers and then sends them a bill. Last year NTTA did away with cash tolls when it launched the ZipCash system. "The 'Top Toll Violators' list on will include the names, cities, zip codes, amounts owed and number of unpaid transactions by violators in a searchable PDF."
